All About the Flowers
We use what mother nature provides to grow flowers and vegetables here at Agate Acres: sun, rain, and soil. We limit plastic usage and never using chemicals or pesticides. We source our soil inputs as locally as possible.
The growing season is short here in Northeastern Minnesota, so we start all our seedlings in our heated greenhouse as well as use 2 hoophouses to extend the seasons from April to October. We grow yarrow, statice, snapdragon, celosia, zinnia, amaranth, strawflower, stock, scabiosa, poppy, orlaya, nigella, cosmos, sunflower, nasturtium, matricaria, marigold, dianthus, cynoglossum, craspedia, centaurea, asclepias, aster, white dill, ageratum, dahlias, lisianthus, ranunculus, and so much more!!

This is a great question! Flowers hold lots of emotion and sentimental meaning. As a flower farm, we want to use majority what we can grow here at the farm, however, if there is a single flower type that holds meaning to you that we can’t grow (such as roses, bird of paradise, etc), we will do our best to order this in for our design work.

Yes! We post our dried flower products on our store in the fall each year. If you are looking for dried flowers for an event, we can do this, but need sufficient time to grow and dry them. Please contact us in the winter previous to the event.
